The objectives of this research was to find out the using of sentences in Antigone drama and the dominant type of sentences used on the text of Antigone. The data collected from the text of drama Antigone, and the text analyzed sentence by sentence in drama Antigone to carriend on marks many text books and gathered the data needed and Classified each sentence in drama which dominantly used based on types of sentences. This research applied descriptive qualitative method, which is more concerned with observation and description. In this research, the sources of the data was obtained from drama Antigone by Sophocles. The procedures in administrating interpersonal function were conducted follow: 1; Read and comprehend the drama. 2; Collect the resources that were connected to the topic discussed. 3; Identify sentence by sentence on the text of Antigone drama The data collected from the drama Antigone, 4; Classified each sentence in drama which dominantly used based on the types of the sentences. The data was take three scene that is pronologue, scene I and scene II. Based of the finding, the conclusion of this research can be stated that. Based on the Recapitulation of the dialogue that consist of various kinds sentence above, we can see declarative consist of 68 dialogue, imperatives consist of 11 dialogues, interrogative consist of 36 dialogues, and exclamatory 32 dialogues. So, based on the recapitulation we can see the dominan kind of sentences that exist in the dialogue is declarative that is 68 dialogue.

This thesis deals with students’ ability in learning English Vocabulary. This population of this research was the SD Negeri 060886 Jl. Rebab. 316 Medan Baru of the Academic Year 2006-2007. The data were collected by giving a set of test listening and essay test where as the teacher utter that new word that never they hear in class before. The result of the calculating of the score of all factors show that 34.7 % students in able category and 65.3 % other of the students are in unable category. It indicates the students’ ability still need to teach intensively by their teacher. To high the student’s ability in writing new words, school should supporting materials and appropriate facilities. For example: Appropriate the number of students, good materials and availability of professional teachers necessary because teaching vocabulary is needs a special skill.

The objective of this research to investigate the Correlation Between Parents’ Educational Background with Students’ Ability in Mastering English Vocabulary, the sources of the data or the subjects were 60 students of SD Nurul Islam Indonesia at Megawati street no.20A all the population was taken as the samples. This research was use descriptive quantitative method. The data was obtained by administering the test. The data were then processed by applying t test. It is found that the hypothesis is accepted. This implicit that the student who has high parent educational background is better than low parent educational background

The Students’ Ability in Arranging Conversation Based on the Context of Situation Offered by Teacher

This thesis was carried out to find out the students’ ability in Arranging Conversation Based on the Context of Situation Offered by Teacher
. The population was 2006/2007 second year students Natural class of SMU Negeri 1 xxxxxxxxx consisting of 110 students from two parallel classes. But the sample only taken as many as 40 students, taken randomly. 
The instrument of the research used is objective test. The test is the teacher-made test that is multiple choice consisting of 10 items focused on the arranging conversation. The method of the research is descriptive quantitative method and library research.
The findings show that the students’ ability in arranging conversation based on the context of situation offered by teacher are as follow : 60% students are able and 40% are unable and average score is 67.25 and the difficulties in Arranging Conversation Based on the Context of Situation Offered by Teacher are lack of vocabularies, lack of knowledge in translation, reading, and lack of in relating the sentences to the context of situation.

skripsi : Error Analysis on the Use of Tenses

Benny Hardy : “Error Analysis on the Use of Tenses” .
A Thesis :

This thesis investigates students’ ability in forming English sentence by using appropriate tenses, by the students of SMA Negeri 1 Kutacane. The data were collected by using writing test, done by 62 students. The method in this research is descriptive quantitative the data were collected then processed by applying t test. The study finds that the students are not able in forming English sentences by using appropriate tenses, it is shown from the data the 43 of student has score 60 down and 19 has score 70 up. And the test has been divided in three kinds of lever that are easy item, moderate item, and difficult item and its describe as 1 item or 1.6% that categorized as a difficult item. The item is number 14. There are 9 items or 14.5% that categorized as moderate items. The items are number 1, 5, 8, 13, 15, 16, 17, 19, and 20. There are 10 Items or 16.6% that categorized as easy items. The items are number 2, 3, 4, 6, 7, 9, 10, 11, 12, 18.
