This thesis was carried out to find out the The Students’ Ability in Using Perfect Continuous Tense. The population was second year students of SMA Budi Agung, Jl. Pxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx. of the Academic Year 2007-2008 consists of two classes. Those are IPA 1 consist of 30 students and IPA 2 consists of 32 students. 

The instrument of the research used is objective test. The test is the teacher-made test that is essay test that is ask the students to make the students in present perfect continuour tense , and the researcher gave them the score every correct answer has 5 score, so, if 20 items are correct, the student get 100 score. The method of the research is descriptive quantitative method and library research 
The findings show that the Students’ ability in in Using Perfect Continuous Tense are as follow : that 75% students are able and 25% students are unable and average score is 71.04 and the difficulties in in Using Perfect Continuous Tense are some of the students who are unable still confuse about using tobe, have/has/had, and verb ing, so they have a difficulties in making sentence by Using Perfect Continuous Tense
